Well, it seems someone is writing sequels to Winnie-the-Pooh (see link above)...  Why???  I don't think they are remotely necessary, and am sceptical that they will live up to the quality of the originals.  

What do others think?

I definitely agree with you Evie, Pooh sequels are totally unnecessary and imo even offensive.    
Where the article states the sequels have the

of A A Milne & E H Shepard Estates, this undoubtedly means a large financial transaction took place!

It seems rather pointless to me - I mean, why try to improve on perfection - but I will be interested to see the new book(s). I'd be entirely dismissive if I didn't have some respect for David Benedictus as a writer - if one was going to choose someone to write a Pooh sequel, many worse names could have come up.
