I wonder if it might be possible to find an edition of Lord Arthur Savile's Lime illustrated by Straubrey Beardsley.

I do like Ivy, Compost: Burn it.

No one here much seems to read or have read Ivy Compton-Burnett, but we read quite a bit of her at university.  I wish I could remember our courses better - we read some modernish novelists and poets in reasonable detail - lot of Conrad, two or three Compton-Burnetts, Hardy, Gerald Manly-Hopkins, and others just one work - Muriel Spark, Gunter Grass, Saul Bellow, John Fowles (he may have only written one at that stage), so I am a bit confused now.  (To be strictly honest, I managed the course without reading Grass or Bellow or a couple of those other rather difficult obtuse writers.)

Cheers, Caro.
