Great stuff. Well, may I suggest the following:

Monday 17 October - Chandler
Monday 31 October - Verhulst
Monday 28 November - Hall

Whoever chose the book can start a discussion thread on or around that date - it doesn't have to have a massive essay, just as long as it has a few points to discuss. Looking forward to it!

That's great - the schedule, I mean.  Have been away on holiday, so apologies for the delay in replying.  Looking forward to getting stuck in.

And yes, the more the merrier!

Just wanted to say that I may not get the chance to post something about the next book (the Verhulst) tomorrow (31 October) - I hope to finish the book today, but may not, and I work on Monday evenings, so it might be Tuesday before I post up a thread about it.  I hope that's OK...  Of course if I do finish it today, I will post something in the morning, but it takes me a while to put things together, so Tuesday is more likely!

Whenever you’re ready, Evie. I have finished it as well and am burning with curiosity to hear what you think of it, especially as you more or less bought it because of my comments on his other books.

I have just a few pages to read, may well finish it after work tonight - and will try to post something tomorrow, am also curious to know what both of you thought of it!

20 pages of Well of Loneliness to go - glad the discussion hasn't started yet!  Off now to finish it.   Cool

I'm impressed you have made it so far... I look forward to the discussion. Is Marita around? She hasn't posted for a few weeks.

Your encouragement was invaluable, and I too am looking forward to discussing the book.  I hope Marita is OK - just quiet, I expect.  Or reading!
