Don't know. See my post above. Any updates will appear on this thread.

Just a note to say I have left a message on the support forum asking for the Rebel Board to be unsuspended. There is a thread there that says: 'Due to a massive spam attack, forums are having to be automatically suspended by certain criteria.' Doubtless this is what has happened to the RB. Sure it will be back presently. If anything happens to this board that requires similar action, you may rest assured that I or one of the other moderators will attend to it.

And bugger all happening there. Too bad. This board seems to be headed in the same direction.

It's been quite lively today, by current standards. Hard to know what to do to reverse the trend. I'm still a regular visitor, and enjoy reading other people's posts, but we have a smaller core of posters than we used to. It's a symptom of various things, not the least of which is that people's lives change in all sorts of ways and they don't have as much time for posting here. In this board's first and second incarnations, under the banner of the BBC website, we had an ever-changing personnel because the BBC website attracted all sorts of people, but this is just a message board and it never gets much in the way of new blood. I don't imagine it will die completely for quite some time, but it's got a bit of a limp at the moment.

What little time I have, I now spend on my blog. I do enjoy crafting essays - and especially structuring long essays. I'm afraid I come here quite rarely now.

That last sentence applies to me but that shouldn't be a problem for the Board if all the new blood who have joined, just in the past two years, would try and post something, anything no matter what, so the smaller core can respond. After all that is how we can become a bigger core read2
