It took me 2 days to read it, it took me a while to get to it as I wanted to finish the book I was already reading first but it was pretty quickly read once I picked it up and I'm sure you will love it - if you love the previous ones you will love this one its returned to form after the last one which didn't have a big story I am a little concerned about the vampire politics starting to take such a prominent role in the stories but it is balanced out with Sookies Fae ancestry and the story thats developing with that!!  Very Happy

I have finished reading it and I posted a review: http://bigreaders.myfastforum.org/ftopic785-0-asc-30.phpa

Caro - I'm glad you had a good time! We've been to Wroxeter and were very impressed by it, especially the way you could visualise how it was from the commentary. Shropshire is a very beautiful yet under rated county.

I've been away a couple of times, too, and also have not been reading with any great speed or fervour in the last few months. Will try and post a bit more.

I think everyone is in the same boat! As Chibiabos said everyone will be back when it starts raining and can't go out anywhere!!  Very Happy

I haven't even managed to sit out in the sun with a good book, Apple!  Sad  Too busy watering my pots - I've only got a tiny back yard and I try and grow veg and flowers in pots and veg bags. It's a bit grim to have to start watering to keep things alive by mid-April, and since I try to conserve water I don't use a hose. Roll on the rain.

No lack of time on my part - though like you, Green Jay, I have a square of concrete with lots of containers!  I love spending time out there.  But reading requires too much concentration and emotional energy - don't have any of either at the moment - taking me too long to get my work done, and then I'm too tired to read.  Things will get better, I'm sure!

I hope they do, Evie, or perhas they have - I haven't, as I intended, managed to get here for a while. Has your work changed so that it is more time-consuming or brain consuming?

I'm finding it frustrating when I go to bed with the intention of reading for half an hour yet I'm lucky if I can keep my eyes open for one page (which I still have to re-read the next day)!!

Green Jay - I'm not sure quite what it is - partly that work routines have changed a bit, partly that working freelance and doing half a dozen jobs at once sometimes defeats me slightly, partly that I have just been feeling tired and emotional - all adds up to a lack of concentration!

Like you, iwishiwas, I always go to bed looking forward to reading for a bit - but it never happens.

A new week starts, anyway, so onward and upward - I have been managing light reads, so that's a start, and I need to build on that.  I am missing more substantial reading!

I find managing two jobs hard enough. Well done you!
