Macbeth sequel and expansion

My local paper had a large article about a novel, part of a trilogy, by a local Dunedin writer.  It takes the ending of Macbeth and expands on the story, following Fleance's life.

I haven't read this (don't even know if it is available to read here) but will when I can.
I didn't know where to put this - under adaptations or novels we have read or what, or even non-fiction, but finally decided here would be suitable.  Do we have a section for historical fiction?

It is not history as she says she has taken as her starting point the SS play not the historical realities.  It seems to me a lot of ink is spent rehabilitating Richard III but not so much on poor old Macbeth who seems to have been a good king.

Cheers, Caro.

It's a fictional play?   Who about?   Pratically all the main characters are dead at the end, aren't they?

It's about Fleance, Banquo's son, who escapes.  He is not considered an actual historical figure but Roxborogh is following his story beyond Macbeth.   A novel, not a play, and there are to be others, but I don't know if they continue with Fleance's story or something/someone else.

Cheers, Caro.

Hmm... sounds a little odd but no problem, I suppose.  I guess it gives the writer a starting point.
