Kazuo Ishigurothe review on our radio today was of For Nocturnes by Ishiguro. It is short stories. The reviewer began by saying the short version of his review was just to go out and buy this immediately - we wouldn't get better value for $35 in a long time. About 'love, music and the passage of time', I see, and trying on to hold on to romance.
I have very much like Ishiguro, especially of course The Remains of the Day. (Why wasn't he up there fighting with Dickens?) Will look forward to seeing this, but probably won't find it in my library and I don't spend $35 on fiction, even if it is a favourite writer.
Have any of you read these yet? The reviewer talked of unreliable narrators, not untypical of Ishiguro I would say.
