Jane Austen

Did anyone see the documentary on BBC 4 (I think it was) about the life of Jane Austen? I thought it was really interesting, it was presented by Anna Chancellor ("Duck face" in 4 weddings) who is also a distant relation - Jane Austen was her Great something or other Aunt. It had the obvious clips of BBC adaptations of her books and had her life dramatised by actors, Gillian Kearney played Jane.

Oops, missed it... But if it's BBC4 then it will be repeated many times and may even make it on to BBC2 eventually Smile I've been thinking recently that I must read more Austen.

I think it was BBC4 my husband spotted it and put it on the sky+ planner for me as he thought I might be interested in it, so thats why I'm a bit vague as to when it was actually on and what it was called, as all he said was I've put a programme on the planner for you I thought it might interest you its about one of those old authors from way back that you like.  Smile

Yes, he is thoughtful like that, he can't stand my books though, he thinks they are a waste of space!
