Anthony PriceAnthony Price is an ex-editor of the Oxford Times who has written over a dozen books about Doctor David Audley and his colleagues in a highly secret department in the British Security Organization.
The books are full of history and archaeology. As well Price has made a special study of military history, and enjoys trying to draw parallels between old battles and modern day espionage.
He does it in a very real and believable way and had me convinced every time. The bad guys are the KGB and try to outwit the BSO at various historic battle sites in Spain, Germany, USA and England.
It is best to begin with the first one called The Labyrinth Makers which covers the Treasure excavated at Troy and smuggled in to Russia in the post war years.
The next two books form a trilogy which was dramatised by BBC TV a few years ago.
