Three kids in their 20s - no sign of grandchildren. Just in case anyone was wondering. Rolling Eyes

In other news, folks hereabouts all atwitter with rumours the deadly and mysterious mountain lion, puma concolor, has been spotted in or near town, far from its traditional mountain habitat. The things we have to deal with, out here in the wild northwest. Shocked

Thanks for that Joe. May you eventually be blessed with grandchildren ... should you want grandchildren, of course! Smile

News from our neck of the woods: yobs have been on the rampage in our neighbourhood, vandalising parked cars. I think I'd rather deal with the mountain lion...

My parents could make the same claim. And I'm 30 next year, horror of horrors. I hope they're not holding their breath, I have no intention of breeding at the moment.

One has to take into account the possibility of one's offspring ending up a yob, which I just noticed is 'boy' spelled backwards.

Life's rich pageant, eh?

I think, Joe, that 30s are the new 20s!  My eldest grandson turns two next week and his father is 35. My new grandson is just a month old and his father is 32.  My aunt, a keen baby lover, had four children in their twenties with no children, but ended with nine grandchildren.

And on a totally trivial note, I asked my husband why I had an itch on my back - was there some insect there.  "No," he says firmly.  Then "Oh,yes, one of those black beetles."  Arrgghh!!!

Ha ha! Great opportunity for a bit of mischief there, Caro. I wish I had more of those. Maybe now with cougars on the loose.....

As for grandkids, que sera. No doubt I'll dazzle 'em with all the knowledge I've stored up by reading books recommended by Big Readers members.

Spinster here in her late 40s, no sign of children yet, let alone grandchildren...and of course now not likely to be any (sign or children).  Sad.  (And no 'enjoy your freedom' type responses please...   Very Happy )

I'm at the other end of spectrum, my daughter who is now 16 and has now left school, has started dating and I've told her to be sensible and stay safe and remember she doesn't have to do anything but if she really has to do it to - in the immortal words of Jeremy Kyle tell him to put something on the end of it as I really don't want to be a grandma yet!

I really think she is too sensible to do anything stupid though she has seen what has happened to too many people she knows and she has said she doesn't want to get in that situation, in her last year at school about about 5 girls she knew ended up pregnant.

Married and in my 50s without children and I totally agree with you about the responses, Evie.
