I have just heard on the radio that the book has been banned in the United States on the grounds that it ‘borrows too much from The Catcher in the Rye’. The author John David California (Fredrik Colting a Swedish publisher) denies this and says his book is about the effect the character Holden Caulfield had on J D Salinger’s personal and literary life. 60 Years Later through the Rye is a best seller in the UK. Has anyone read it?

I don't think it is "banned" per se, Castorboy, I think J.D. Salinger is suing over this book.
